과일 주스나 다른 주스와 이(치아), Fruit juice, other juice, and teeth

• 요즘 영유아들은 신선한 사과·배·오렌지 등 과일을 이로 깨물어 먹기보다  과일 주스나 과일 소스를 만들어 먹을 때가 더 많다. 
• 영유아들이 배가 고파 울든지, 어디가 아파서 보채면 부모의 따뜻한 사랑으로 보살펴 주는 대신 인공영양이나 과일 주스 등을 우유병으로 먹이는 부모들도 많다. 
• 특히 이가 난 영유아에게 과일 주스 등을 우유병으로 자주 먹을 때 치아 에나멜이 쉽게 부식되어 충치가 생길 수 있다. 
• 다른 종류의 음식물을 적절히 섭취 못해 영양결핍증에 걸릴 수 있다. 
• 생후 6개월 이전 영아들에게 과일 주스나 채소류 주스를 먹이는 것을 미 소아과 영양학회서는권장하지 않는다. 충치 (Dental caries) 

Fruit juice, other juice, and teeth

Young children these days eat fruit juice or fruit sauce more often than eating fresh apples, pears, and oranges by biting them with their teeth.

There are many parents who feed their infants and toddlers with milk bottles, such as artificial nutrition or fruit juice, instead of taking care of their children with the warm love of their parents when they are hungry or crying.

In particular, when infants and toddlers who have teeth frequently drink fruit juice from a milk bottle, tooth enamel can easily corrode, which can lead to tooth decay. Inadequate intake of other types of food can lead to malnutrition.

The American Academy of Pediatrics and Nutrition does not recommend feeding fruit or vegetable juices to infants before 6 months of age. Dental caries
